Creative biography

Bhaskar Subramanian was born In India in 1950, Tamilnadu in the family of musicians and spent his childhood in the atmosphere of South Indian music known as Carnatic music.

At the age of 15, he started learning North Indian music known as Hindustani music guided by Pandit Vasant Umesh Rajukar. He got his Master degree in Indian classical vocal music at Khairagadh University in 1976. After completing a Master degree Mr Subramanian worked in a Bharatiya Vidia Bhavans public school where he wrote and composed tunes for students from 1976 to 1983. He continued his career in the Government College of Music and Dance in Hyderabad as a lecturer and a vocal teacher.

From 2012, Mr Subramanian served as a vocal teacher in Sahaja Yoga musical Academy in Vaitarna the state of Maharashtra in India. This Academy was founded by Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi, the founder of Sahaja Yoga meditation. Her meditation enables our Kundalini mothering power to be awakened and unite us with the all-pervading power.
